

Early Intervention Programs
Prairie Rose School Division No. 8 provides early intervention programs for young children with identified special needs. Programs will be jointly developed by parents, school personnel and partnering agencies.
Children assessed with special needs may receive programs and services including:
Eligibility for early intervention is as follows:
- an individualized program plan
- placement in an appropriate setting (preschool, daycare, kindergarten, etc.)
- home visits
- consultation or therapy with professionals
- parent inservice or training, if desired
Eligibility -- Minimum Age of Sept. 1
Severe disability = 2 years, 6 months
Mild/moderate disability = 3 years, 6 months
