November is Perseverance month. During this month, we will be recognizing students who demonstrate perseverance through their behaviours and their interactions with others. Perseverance is demonstrated through sticking with tasks and facing challenges with confidence.
Remembrance Day ceremony
Please feel free to join us for our Remembrance Day ceremony on November 9 at 10:30 am. Our annual assembly is an important opportunity to honour the heroes who have fought for Canada throughout the years, and around the world.
Our next School Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14 at 6:30 pm in the school library. Please feel free to join us and get involved in supporting our children and our school.
Report Cards / Parent Teacher Interviews
Report cards will be going home on November 17. We look forward to the opportunity to meet with parents at this time to discuss your child’s progress. Attached to this newsletter is a parent information package that helps to explain the format of our report cards. Notices for scheduling parent teacher interviews will be coming home late this week.
Nov. 27 SI Day
Please note that there is a School Improvement Day scheduled for November 27. As such, there will be no school for students on this date as staff will be working on school goals and program development.
The 2016-2017 yearbooks will be ready for distribution prior to the Christmas holiday this year. We had some delays with development of the yearbook as we researched different options for yearbook design tools. We apologize for the delay and look forward to having these ready prior to the holiday.
