Thanks from the PRSD Board of Trustees

Dear Prairie Rose communities,

Now that we have all had time to get accustomed to the new educational landscape, it seems appropriate to congratulate and thank everyone. The Prairie Rose Board of Trustees would like to congratulate everyone on the “rock star” work that has been done. The quick response to the many changes occurring due to COVID-19 could not have been possible without the combined efforts of so many people.

We want to thank our school leaders who’ve managed the practical logistics to ensure lessons and services happen for every child, as well as our teachers, educational coaches, and educational assistants for delivering quality learning experience from afar. Thanks to our central administration for putting together a plan of continued learning for students, our central office staff for making all the moving parts fit, and our communications officer for getting timely information to our communities. Thank you to our technology staff for ensuring the electronic connectivity bridges are in place to deliver online education, and to our school secretaries for handling the many questions from parents and students.  We also want to thank our maintenance department and custodians who are maintaining and sanitizing the schools in preparation for parent pickups and readiness for the fall, and our bus drivers who were involved early on and remain ready to serve when classes resume. Finally, we are incredibly thankful for the diligence parents have shown in the continuance of their child’s learning and for our students who pivoted overnight to adapt quickly in this new era of learning.  You are all rock stars!

Our vision is “Everyone Learning Together”. This has never been truer than during this time. We must all continue to learn and adjust as the future unfolds. Please know the Board of Trustees is proud of each member of the Prairie Rose community and the valued contribution you make to our student’s educational, social and emotional well-being.

Please stay safe.

Sincerely,

Prairie Rose School Division Board of Trustees
