New Parkside Vice-Principal Announced

Superintendent Roger Clarke and Parkside Junior High School Principal Boyd Craven would like to congratulate Greg Elgie who has accepted the position of Vice-Principal at Parkside Junior High School.

Elgie holds a Master’s from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. Over the past 10 years, Greg has taught predominantly at the high school and junior high levels, with the exception of one year of primary instruction at I.F. Cox School in Redcliff.  For the past six years, he has worked at Parkside Junior High School teaching Science 8 and Science 9.

“Having grown up in Redcliff, I recognize that Parkside is an integral part of the community,” says Elgie. “Since starting here six years ago, it has been wonderful to be part of the school’s growth and development. The staff at Parkside are fantastic and I am excited to work with them in my new role as we continue to grow and build opportunities for our students.”

“Greg is a former Redcliff student with long-term connections in the community,” says Superintendent Roger Clarke. “As a teacher at Parkside, he has proven to be a strong leader and mentor for students at the curricular and extracurricular levels; encouraging a passion for learning and for sportsmanship through athletic development.”

Greg Elgie will officially assume the role of vice-principal at the start of the 2020-2021 school year.
