Teaching and Learning Options during COVID-19

Teaching and Learning Options during COVID-19

Re: PRSD Learning and Teaching Options during COVID-19

As promised, we have put together a more detailed document outlining the logistics for in-person learning (students attending school) and our at-home learning option through Prairie Rose School Division. The document provides additional information on how we plan to support all students by providing flexible learning options as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.

Later this week detailed school plans for re-entry will be made available for parents to review. We ask that parents read these plans before committing to at-home learning as they may help address many questions around what a 'near normal' school day will look like. Your school principals have been working diligently to align the public health guidelines with school procedures that will have the least amount of impact on students and staff. An email informing you of these plans will be sent from your school once they are available online.

In the meantime, please review the Teaching and Learning document to understand what supports will be provided for both learning options.

To assist with planning, we ask that any parent who chooses the at-home learning option complete the registration form by August 24th.

A big thank you to the many parents and staff who have provided feedback about our plans and inquired about learning options. We know this is a challenging time for everyone and we appreciate your cooperation and assistance as we navigate the back to school re-entry process.
