New Principal - Prairie Mennonite Alternative School

Prairie Rose Public Schools is pleased to announce that Simon Moreton has accepted the principal position at Prairie Mennonite Alternative School in Medicine Hat. Mr. Moreton has 15 years of teaching and seven years of administration experience, with the last four working with Prairie Rose at Foremost School and overseeing the Rural Futures At-Home Learning program. 

In addition to a Masters in Educational Technology and a Masters of Education Leadership and Administration, Simon is currently working on his Doctorate of Leadership through the University of Western Ontario. He also has many years of experience and education working with families and students where English is not their first language.

Simon Moreton’s first day at Prairie Mennonite Alternative School will be on April 12, 2021. Sherry Rissling, principal of the newly announced Home Plus+ Learning Network (home education program) will oversee the Rural Futures At-Home Learning program for the remainder of the year.
